[SPORTS] Kenyan rules 2012 Kaamulan half marathon

MALAYBALAY CITY (Bukidnon News/26 February) Jophat Kiptanni of Kenya
crossed the 21-kilometer finish line first to win the 2012 Kaamulan
Half Marathon on February 19, 2012 in Malaybalay City.

Kiptanni, the lone foreign participant, added international flavor to
the race sponsored by the Provincial Government of Bukidnon and
organized by Engr. Rommel Abao of Origen Outdoors.

With a time of 1:11:05, Kiptani finished way ahead of his closest
competitors Juniel Languido of Malaybalay City (2nd place) and Jeffrey
Sotto of Iligan City (3rd place).

In the female category, Stephanie Pamatong of Cagayan de Or City won
first place and was closely followed by Jojely Mae Pepito and
Christine Organiza who finished second and third respectively.

On the other hand, Arnold Unabia of Tangub City topped the
10-kilometer event while Michelle Mangubat ruled the distaff side.
James Don Torres won the men’s 5-kilometer race while Janine Eve
Mansueto crashed her rivals in the female category.
