SPORTS: Fun Run raises P10,000 for Sendong survivors

MALAYBALAY CITY  (Bukidnon News/05 January) A three-kilometer fun run dubbed “Dagan Para Sa Nabaha-an”, held in Malaybalay City on January 31, 2011 raised a total of P10,000 donations for the survivors of flashfloods brought by tropical strom Sendong.
Almost two hundred runners of all ages joined the fund raising event for the benefit of survivors of the flashfloods, which recently affected the cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro and the towns of Libona, Talakag and Baungon in Bukidnon.
The race route went around Malaybalay City proper with start and finish line outside the San Isidro Cathedral. Bobby Tadlas and Christine Organiza both ruled the Men and Women open categories. They were awarded with medals.
“Dagan Para Sa Nabahaan” was organized by Malaybalay City Sports Coordinator Niko Aldeguer with assistance from Father Robert Selecios of San Isidro Cathedral and SID Press, Engr.
