Huervas authorized to sign for Agripo’s special project fund

VALENCIA CITY (Bukidnon News/ 22 December) – The city council of
Valencia has passed a resolution authorizing Vice Mayor Azucena
Huervas to sign for Councilor Rhea
Rhenna Agripo’s Special Project Fund (SPF) appropriation.

The resolution, sponsored by Councilor Almer Alfonso, was approved
during the council’s regular session on December 12.

Agripo have confirmed to Newswatch that since 2010 she has never
received his SPF allocation per order of city Mayor Leandro Jose
Catarata.

She said they have planned to file legal complaint against Catarata
but since its yuletide season so they chose the option.

Catarata in an interview on December 14 said he will have to see first
what’s in the resolution before he gives action.

Agripo and Councilor Aboy Galario, son of former Mayor Jose Galario
Jr. who was Catarata’s bitter political rival, are in the city
council’s minority but Galario was given his SPF.

Agripo, daughter of former Vice Governor Wenefredo Agripo who lost for
congressional seat to former Malaybalay City Mayor Florencio Flores,
Jr. is in her last term as city councilor. Some said she might run for
higher political position in Valencia for 2013 elections. (Mel B. Madera)
