Robbers hit Don Carlos grocery

DON CARLOS, Bukidnon (Bukidnon News/10 November) Unidentified men robbed Campoamor Grocers here at about 4:45 pm Thursday carting about P9, 000 cash, initial police report said.

One of the robbers pointed a.45 caliber pistol, frisked the guard on duty, and snatched his .38 revolver. The other man pointed his shotgun to the cashier.
“I thought he was going to buy cigarette but he suddenly pointed the gun at me and I didn’t know what else to do so I ran towards the others leaving the cash register open,” said cashier Liezle Tenajeros, who was about to hand change to a customer.

Another customer was about to pay her groceries at the time of the robbery but managed to flee for safety. Police found two cartridges of .45 pistol at the crime scene but reported no injuries.
Witnesses told the police that the robbers were males with dark complexions between 25 to 30 years old. One of them wore a dark colored jacket with a checkered handkerchief banded around his head. The other man wore a white shirt with a blue hat.
The tandem robbed in less than 15 seconds, fled on a motorcycle, and evaded a police chase.

Don Carlos police vowed to pursue investigation to identify and capture the robbers.

PO2 Roel Salingay.said they will conduct manhunt operation to track down the robbers’ possible exits and whereabouts.

Campoamor Grocers is owned by the family of Don Carlos, Bukidnon councilor Rosalina Campoamor.
