Malaybalay team “most spirited” in Iligan ultimate tournament

MALAYBALAY CITY- (Bukidnon News Dispatch/15 Sept.) The Malaybalay
Ultimate Team (MAUT) was awarded as Most Spirited Team during the 3rd
Diyandi Ultimate Tournament held in Iligan City on September 10-11.The team bagged the title for the second time around, according to
Jonah Ronolo, President of MAUT. The team first won it in the Diyandi
event of 2009, when the team first joined tournaments, she added.

A total of 19 teams joined the tournament held at the Global Field
Suarez. There were two categories, Pool A and Pool B.

Aside from MAUT, the other Malaybalay team who joined the tournament
was Lungsod ng Malaybalay Disciples (LUMAD).

MAUT was formed on May 7, 2009 and started with 15 members.

Team MAUT reached quarter finals after two wins and two loses, where
they fought against the Iligan Red Horses (RH)– host team which
became the champion of Pool A.

Other special awards given, with different awardees in Pool A and Pool
B, were the Mythical Seven and most valuable players (MVP) for male
and female.

“Ultimate is a team effort which is, more than the individual awards.
The team’s award is for the whole team and I’m very happy of that,”
said Romeo Luna, MAUT team captain. MAUT was formed on May 7, 2009 and
started with 15 members.(Bukidnon News)
