Buk housing team is ‘Lingkod Bayan’ semi-finalist

MALAYBALAY CITY— (Bukidnon News Dispatch/08 Sept.) The Provincial
Government’s Housing Development Team was included in the annual
Presidential or Lingkod Bayan Award as a semi-finalist for the group
category, according to Ofelia S. Salvador, Civil Service Commission
(CSC) Bukidnon director.
The Presidential or Lingkod Bayan is one of the three award categories
of the 2011 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees, a
major activity of 111th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service
celebrated this month.The team is one of the three group finalists for the Presidential or
Lingkod Bayan Award. The group of eight is composed of Engr. Delia E.
Damasco, Saturnina A. Arsua, Liezel Therese V. Lanayan, Arlene A.
Suñga, Engr. Angelito E. Mariquit, Engr. Walter V. Borres, Engr.
Teodocio A. Awiten, and Rodrigo E. Egot Jr., as shown at the
Philippine CSC website.

The Lingkod Bayan Award is conferred on an individual or group of
individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting
from an idea or performance that had nationwide impact on public
interest, security and patrimony, according to the guidelines of the
award provided by the CSC in its website.

The CSC has already announced the results in the two other categories,
Dangal ng Bayan Award and CSC Pagasa Award, as posted in the website
as of August 25.

The Northern Mindanao Integrated Agricultural Research Center
(NOMIARC) is one of the five awardees of the Pagasa Award group
category, according to Announcement No. 52, s.2011 of CSC.

The nominees recommended by the board of judges for the Presidential
or Lingkod Bayan Award, still awaits the confirmation of President
Benigno S. Aquino III, according to Hacinto Mateo III, Chief Personnel
Specialist of Public Assistance and Information Office of CSC Manila.

As mentioned in Memorandum Circular No. 3, s.2011, the Presidential or
Lingkod Bayan Awardees, individual and group, shall receive a
gold-gilded medallion and a plaque containing the citation and
signature of the President of the Philippines, P100,000.00 cash reward
and other forms of rewards and incentives provided for  under Section
5 of  Executive  Order No. 508. (Hazel A. Generalao)
