DOLE-Bukidnon sets up job fairs

The Department of Labor and Employment in Bukidnon announced that the agency will conduct employment facilitation, in two locations in the province, on September 07 and on September 15 at 8am to 3pm.

On September 07, DOLE will be at the Impasug-ong Covered Court and on September 15 at the Valencia City Gym to accommodate seekers, applicants who would like to have a shot at the several unfilled openings and positions offered at the job fair.

“Interested applicants are to bring their resume, 2×2 ID pictures and if possible their transcript of records and passport for those applying for overseas jobs,” – Labor and Employment Officer II, Elna Seguiro informed the public during the Monthly Convocation Program of the Bukidnon Province, September 05, at the Folk Arts Theater, Kaamulan Grounds.

Applicants are also encouraged to wear business or proper attires, which does not include wearing of slippers or sleeveless tops, she added.

Seguiro, also delivered at the Convocation Program DOLE’s outputs and accomplishments for calendar year 2011. The agency, it is said, has been in the past months, progressing in the management of six job fairs, five training seminars on basic education programs and seven livelihood programs. On top of that, DOLE programs are very much in force, among which include those for the: 1. working students or the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES); Angel Tree – benefiting child workers; Sugar Workers Maternity Benefit Program (SWMBP), Sugar Workers Death Benefit Program (SWDBP), and a program for nurses, with DOLE collaborating with the Department of Health (DOH), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Philippine Board of Nursing – the RN Heals.
